Wild Trailer For The Horror Comedy NIGHTBITCH Sees Amy Adams Turn Into a Dog
Searchlight Pictures has released the first trailer for Amy Adams’ upcoming horror comedy film Nightbitch, which tells the story of a woman played by Amy Adams who finds herself literally turning into a dog.
This is definitely another bold role that Adams is taking on and it looks like she’s going to give one hell of a fun and wild performance! She’s such a great actress and this looks like a very unique and bonkers film for her to take on.
The movie is based on the best-selling book, which tells the story “of a suburban mom thrown into the stay-at-home routine of raising a toddler.
“As she embraces the feral power deeply rooted in motherhood, she becomes increasingly aware of the bizarre and undeniable signs that she may be turning into a dog.”
Scoot McNairy (Argo, Narcos: Mexico) also stars in the film as Adams’ oft-traveling husband. Marielle Heller (Can You Ever Forgive Me?) is directing from her own script, adapted from Rachel Yoder’s debut novel.
When talking about Adams’ performance in the movie, the director told IndieWire: “She’s incredible, I mean, we all know Amy Adams is incredible. She’s been nominated for a million Academy Awards.
“She’s amazing, but she really is special in this movie and I’m just so excited for the world to see her. It’s like nothing you’ve ever seen from her before. She’s fierce and funny and dark and complicated and it’s good.”
Adams talked about the film, saying: "It was so unique and otherworldly, and like nothing I'd ever read before," and said that she was in character at a level that "that can feel liberating at times, but also terrifying."
The movie comes with the tagline, “Motherhood is a Bitch.” It will stream on Disney’s DTC platforms as a Hulu Original in the U.S. No release date is set yet.
