WILDERMYTH Trailer: Becoming a Legend

From the indie developer World Game LLC, a game with surprising depth and charm has appeared on Steam last week.. Wildermyth is a strategy/RPG that is seeming to hit all the marks but with added charm in the 2D design and choice-driven story.

At first look, this game seems a little under-produced, unfinished, and almost lazy. But there is a lot to love, and the art style has a lot more life and detail than a person can appreciate at first glance. The 2D art style reminds us of our childhood dreams of becoming fantasy heroes, and all the flat images sitting in a 3D environment brings out the fantastical side even more as it seems to clash and synergize at the same time.

The art isn’t everything that is charming about the game though. The game revolves around 3D, turn-based strategy. Setting up shots, flanking, pushing ground, and everything in between are all in this game with a great system with deep RPG mechanics too. From various classes to different stats and gear management, there is a lot to dive into on this Early Access game.
