Wildly Fun Blood-Drenched Trailer for the Indie Monster Film HOW TO KILL MONSTERS
A teaser trailer has been released for an awesomely fun-looking monster movie How To Kill Monsters, and this Lovecraftian-inspired horror movie is gushing with blood and gore! The other thing about this movie that I’m a fan of is the fact that the monsters and effects work is all practical. This movie is going to be a blast!
In the film, “the sole survivor of a blood-drenched massacre must team up with a rag-tag bunch of rookie cops and lawbreakers to defend a police station from an invasion of Lovecraftian monsters from another dimension.”
The description goes on the say: “With a menagerie of monsters realized entirely with practical effects and buckets of fake blood and guts thrown in for good measure, How to Kill Monsters will scratch the itch of horror fans craving a throwback popcorn horror movie that delivers thrills, kills and laughs in equal measure.”
How to Kill Monsters is directed by Stewart Sparke (Book of Monsters), who co-wrote the screenplay with Paul Butler, and is produced by Cal O’Connell. The director says explains that How to Kill Monsters is a “love letter to the 80s and 90s horror movies that I grew up watching on VHS.”
Stewart goes on to say that the movie will include “a dash of British humour in the vein of Hot Fuzz and the self-aware twists and turns of Scream to deliver genre fans a blood-soaked popcorn horror movie that feels both nostalgic and fresh.”
How to Kill Monsters will premiere at FrightFest on Friday 25th August in Cineworld Leicester Square, London with the cast and crew in attendance.
The movie stars Lyndsey Craine (Book of Monsters, Eating Miss Campbell), Arron Dennis (Zomblogalypse, Book of Monsters), Fenfen Huang (Now You See Me 2, Operation Red Sea), Daniel Thrace (The Creature Below, Blood Myth) and Nicholas Vince (Hellraiser, Hellbound, Nightbreed).
