Will Smith and Martin Lawrence Announce BAD BOYS Is Getting a Fourth Film
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have announced that they will be reuniting for a fourth Bad Boys movie! Sony Pictures confirmed that the untitled sequel is in early pre-production, and Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are set to return to direct the sequel after their Batgirl movie was scrapped by Warner Bros.
Smith and Lawrence made the announcement with a video shared on social media, with the caption, “IT’S ABOUT THAT TIME!” The video follows Smith as he drives to Lawrence’s house saying, “Yo, I’ve got an announcement. Y’all better stop scrolling.”
Arriving at Lawrence’s door, the duo excitedly share that Bad Boys 4 is officially on the way and Lawrence yells, “It’s about that time!” Smith chimes in saying: “Bad boys for life baby,” Smith reinforces the “For life,” and they amusingly acknowledge that the third film’s title effectively wasted the pun they could’ve used for the upcoming fourth movie with Smith saying, “We shouldn’t have called it that though.”
The last film, Bad Boys For Life, was a decent and fun action comedy. I’m sure this next one will turn out just as good. I really don’t see the need for any more Bad Boys movies, but Smith and Lawrence seem excited about it, and I’m sure hardcore fan will be happy to see another chapter in the franchise.
I guess, this means Will Smith is done being grounded after slapping Chris Rock at the last year’s Oscar ceremony, and Hollywood is ready to start working with him again. It was also recently reported that he might be reprising his role as Genie in Disney’s Aladdin 2.
Are you excited that we are getting another Bad Boys movie?
