Will Smith Shares The First Poster For Disney's Live-Action ALADDIN

Will Smith has shared the first poster art for Disney’ live-action adaptation of Aladdin. Like the teaser poster for the original animated film, that I also included, it puts the main focus on the genie’s lamp. It also comes with the tagline, “Choose Wisely” and a note from Smith saying, “Can’t wait for y’all to see Me BLUE!”

Smith plays the Genie in the film and he is joined by Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Power Rangers star Naomi Scott as Jasmine, Numan Acar (Homeland) as Hakim, the head of the guards and Jafar’s right-hand man, and Marwan Kenzari as the villain Jafar. In addition, the live-action movie features new characters created just for the film played by Billy Magnussen (Game Night) and former SNL comedienne Nasim Pedrad.

Guy Ritchie is directing the film from a script written by John August (Big Fish) and Game of Thrones writer Vanessa Taylor.

I saw some early footage from the film earlier this year. I liked what I saw and you can read about it here if you want.

Aladdin is currently slated to hit theaters in May 2019.
