Willem Dafoe Cast in THE LIGHTHOUSE From The Director of THE WITCH

Willem Dafoe is set to star in director Robert Eggers new film project called The Lighthouse. Eggers will write and direct the film which will see Dafoe playing "a character named Old and will take place in Nova Scotia in the early 20th century."

Eggers is the same director who wrote and directed the amazing and critically acclaimed horror thriller The Witch. I thought that movie was incredible, and he has also directed the upcoming remake of Nosferatu, which I hope turns out to be stunning. 

This guy put so much detail and care into crafting The Witch, that I'll be excited about anything that he ends up doing. That how impressed I was with his first movie. You just don't see movies like that made these days! Young filmmakers like him seem rare. 

Willem Dafoe was recently nominated for an Oscar for best supporting actor for his role in The Florida Project. He also has a role in James Wan's upcoming Aquaman film. 

Dafoe has a pretty big loyal fan base and this next project of his seems like it's going to be another great project for him.
