William Sadler is Ready To Reprise His Role of Death in BILL AND TED 3
Over the past few years, we've been hearing a lot about Bill and Ted 3. As a huge fan of the first two films, I really hope that this new sequel happens. I enjoyed everything that I've heard about it so far and Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are both on board to make the film if it happens.
Director Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) and writer Ed Solomon are pushing for the movie to happen. The film is said to be titled Bill & Ted Face The Music, and when previously talking about the film, Solomon said the story will send the older middle-aged Bill S. Preston, Esq. and Ted “Theodore” Logan back in time to interact with their past selves and George Carlin’s character Rufus, "using footage from 1989’s Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure." Solomon went on to reveal:
"They return to that scene at the Circle K when Bill and Ted first meet themselves, only now they're watching their younger selves and looking at the exuberance and joy that they had at that time in their lives. And they see Rufus, they see George Carlin..."
Now, thanks to a Tweet from Solomon, we learned that Death is also in the script for the film and that actor William Sadler is ready and willing to reprise his role, which would be excellent!

Bill and Ted met The Reaper in Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey and I loved the way the character was handled. That whole sequence where they have to beat Death in several different kinds of games was so damn entertaining, especially when they were all playing Battleship.
There are no details on how Death will play into the story, but when talking about the film over six years ago, Winter said:
I know they're trying to write The Grim Reaper in. How could we do this without the Reaper?' I'm hopeful. I'd love to go back and play with those guys again. That was one of the most fun roles I've done. I'll be there in a heartbeat, if they want to do it.
Keanu Reeves also previously shared the following details on the story, saying:
One of the plot points is that these two people have been crushed by the responsibility of having to write the greatest song ever written and to change the world, and they haven't done it. So everybody is kind of like: 'Where is the song?'
The guys have just drifted off into esoterica and lost their rock. And we go on this expedition, go into the future to find out if we wrote the song, and one future 'us' refuses to tell us, and another future 'us' blames us for their lives because we didn't write the song, so they're living this terrible life. In one version we're in jail; in another we're at some kind of highway motel and they hate us.
I'm going to be so disappointed if this movie never happens. I can't wait to see what role Death will play in the movie! Hopefully it's more than just a cameo.
