WILLOW is Returning To Theaters With a Live Q&A Event Before Lucasfilm's Sequel Series Premiere
Producer George Lucas and director Ron Howard’s classic 1988 fantasy movie Willow is coming back to theaters for a one-night event that will include a special live Q&A. That event will include members of the original cast and creative team along with some new faces involved with the series.
The announcement reads, "Experience Willow (1988) back on the big screen in a special LIVE event available only in select theaters. See a live Q&A of the new @DisneyPlus Original series #Willow & an exclusive sneak peek of this magical series.”
The movie will be playing in select theatres on November 28th. You can get your tickets here. The series is set to premiere on Disney+ on November 30th.
I haven’t seen Willow on the big screen since I was a kid! It will be so cool to have the opportunity to experience this movie in a theater again.
In the movie, “Journey to the far corners of your imagination, to a land of myth and magic, where dream and reality live side by side ... to a place that never existed, a time that never was. It is a world where a young man named Willow lives out an adventure that explodes beyond the boundaries of his own hopes and fears.”
The series takes place years after the events of the original Willow film. "It introduces all-new characters to the enchanted realm of fairy queens and two-headed Eborsisk monsters, and welcomes back its namesake hero, Willow Ufgood, performed once again by the unmatchable Warwick Davis. Willow leads an unlikely crew of heroes on a quest to protect Andowyne from an even larger foe than they had imagined possible.”
The series also stars Erin Kellyman (Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), Ellie Bamber (Nocturnal Animals), Ruby Cruz (Mare of Easttown), Tony Revolori (The Grand Budapest Hotel), Dempsey Bryk (The Birch), Talisa Garcia (Serve and Protect, Baptiste), and Game Of Thrones actress Rosabell Laurenti Sellers. Christian Slater also stars in the series and we get our first look at him in this featurette.
Jonathan Kasdan (Solo) wrote the pilot episode and will act as showrunner alongside Wendy Mericle (Arrow).
