There are five different categories and the winner in each one will win all of those prizes:
Cream of the Crop: Show off your carving precision and ability to render a character with pitch perfect accuracy and perfectly smooth line cuts.
Best Photography: Showcase your pumpkin with lighting and a creative background, in a stirring composition that evokes hearty laughter or awe-induced gasps.
Most Creative: Conjure up an imaginative carving pattern like none we’ve ever witnessed, give your pumpkin a perfect LAIKA character resemblance, and showcase your staggering originality.
Best Use of Props: Dress your LAIKA character with a variety of unique and creative props, then craft the image into a stirring composition.
Best Costume + Pumpkin: Dress yourself in the most creative costume you can imagine and pose with your LAIKA inspired pumpkin for an image of fiendish brilliance.
LAIKA has also provided some carving patterns, and you’ll want to check back throughout the month as more will be added. You have from now until 11:59pm ET on November 1st to share your creations on Twitter, Instagram, or TikTok and tagging @LAIKAstudios and use the hashtag #LAIKApumpkincontest.
