WISHBONE Film in Development Based on the 1990s PBS Series About the Literary Jack Russell Terrier
“What’s the story, Wishbone?”
Universal and Mattel have teamed up to make a motion picture based on the popular 90s children’s show, Wishbone. The PBS series ran from 1996 to 2001 and featured a cute and funny little Jack Russell terrier who would whisk viewers into literary adventures from classic novels. It was a really fun show, and I can just hear the theme song now.
Oscar-winning producer Peter Farrelly (Green Book) is producing the live-action feature, with Roy Parker (Calvinball) writing the script.
This will be a really fun film for families. I liked watching this show with my niece when I was a kid, and I’m excited to share the character and stories with my kids. Are you interested in a Wishbone film?
