WONDER WOMAN 2 Confirmed to Take Place in the 1980's

Wonder Woman 2 director Patty Jenkins took to the stage at CinemaCon and confirmed the long-standing rumor that the sequel will take place in the 1980s. She did not mention the Cold War, but since it’s the 1980s, there's a good chance that the Cold War will play a role in the story. It was kind of a big deal.

I’m sure some fans will be disappointed by this news as I heard some wanting a more modern setting for the film. We still don't have specifics for the story, but I'm sure it'll be time for Diana Prince to kick some serious Soviet butt. I’m definitely interested to see what happens in the film.

The sequel will star Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Kristen Wiig as Cheetah. The film will be released November 1, 2019.
