WONDER WOMAN 2 Logo Reveals 1984 Setting and Possible Title

DC Entertainment's Geoff Johns recently changed up his Twitter header image and it features the first logo we've seen for Wonder Woman 2. It simply says WW84, which reveals the story will be set in 1984. We knew the film would be set in the 80s, we just didn't know when exactly until now.

Warner Bros. also recently registered a number of domain names for Wonder Woman 2, all of which could have been potential titles for the film. One of those titles was Wonder Woman 1984. So, with Johns' WW84 logo reveal, it's very possible that the title of the movie could actually be Wonder Woman 1984.

The sequel is set to introduce Cheetah (Kristen Wiig) as the villain and Narcos star Pedro Pascal has also landed a lead role. We just don't know what that role is. We've also heard that Chris Pine will somehow reprise his role as Steve Trevor.

The fact that the movie is set in 1984 also confirms the Cold War setting for the story as Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) fights against the Soviet Union. I hope we get to see some spy vs. spy espionage elements in the movie!

The screenplay was written by director Patty Jenkins, Geoff Johns, and Dave Callaham. The film will be released on November 1, 2019.
