WONDER WOMAN is Now The Highest Grossing DCEU Movie!
Audiences can't seem to get enough of the greatness of Wonder Woman! I know a lot of people who are seeing the film multiple times in theaters. I've seen it three times already myself! I've enjoyed it every time that I watch it.
For some reason, Warner Bros. wasn't expecting Wonder Woman to be a big hit, but the movie proved them wrong. Not only is the film the best-reviewed movie in the DCEU, it is now the highest grossing! It just beat out Batman v Superman!
This is an epic achievement! The movie didn't do as well as Man of Steel, Batman v Superman or Suicide Squad on its opening weekend, but as word of mouth spread of how good it was from critics and fans, more and more people started to see it. That's what caused it to pass up Batman v Superman. That's the power of a great film!
Here's a look at all of the DCEU films so far:
- Man of Steel made $291 million over 14 weeks.
- Batman v Superman made $330.366 million over the course of 12 weeks.
- Suicide Squad made $325 million over 14 weeks.
- Wonder Woman made $330.533 in only 4 weeks and it's obviously going to make more!
There's a chance that Wonder Woman could end up being the first billion-dollar movie when you include the international ticket sales. Wonder Woman deserves it!
This film has given critics and fans faith in the DCEU franchise and we're all hoping that Justice League ends up being another great film. After seeing Wonder Woman, my excitement for Justice League definitely went up and I'm more optimistic about the future of the DCEU films.
