WONDER WOMAN's Said Taghmaoui May Play the Lead Villain in BOND 25
Said Taghmaoui recently revealed to The National that he will be the villain in Bond 25. Well, with the departure of Danny Boyle, that may change. According to Taghmaoui, the new director could change things up which would lead to him no longer being needed for the film.
“We don’t know who the director will be, and the producers don’t know if they’re going to go Russian or Middle East with the baddie right now. I literally just received a message saying: ‘If they go Middle East, it’s you. If they go Russian, it’s someone else.’ It’s the story of my life. Always on that line between something that could change my life and something that disappears.”
Of course, Taghmaoui is not always the villain as he was recently a hero in Wonder Woman. He played Sameer who was a member of Diana’s group of heroes. This is in part due to his efforts to fight stereotypes and clichés.
“I know that [Bond] could be seen as a big cliche, and I’m always fighting. I refuse so many roles because you fight to get something, you go and audition, and then in the end you have to refuse it because it’s just not good. That’s how you start your journey.”
Bond 25 has a tentative release date of November 8, 2019 which will have it competing with Wonder Woman 1984.
