Goodbye Christopher Robin is a film that tells the story behind the creation of the beloved characters of Winnie The Pooh. It follows the lives of author A.A. Milne (Domhnall Gleeson) and his wife Daphne (Margot Robbie) as they raise their son Christopher Robin (Will Tilston). It looks like a wonderful imaginative film that is beautifully shot. It's set after World War I and follows the family as they find fame and success with Pooh. At the core, this is a father and son story.
The movie was directed by Simon Curtis (My Week With Marilyn, Woman in Gold) and today we have the first trailer for you to watch. But first, here's the official synopsis:
GOODBYE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN gives a rare glimpse into the relationship between beloved children's author A. A. Milne (Domhnall Gleeson) and his son Christopher Robin, whose toys inspired the magical world of Winnie the Pooh. Along with his mother Daphne (Margot Robbie), and his nanny Olive (Kelly Macdonald), Christopher Robin and his family are swept up in the international success of the books; the enchanting tales bringing hope and comfort to England after the First World War. But with the eyes of the world on Christopher Robin, what will the cost be to the family?
The movie also stars Stephen Campbell Moore, Alex Lawther, Richard McCabe, Nico Mirallegro, Geraldine Somerville and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. It's set to be released on October 13th.
