Wonderfully Spooky Full Trailer for Mike Flanagan's THE MIDNIGHT CLUB Netflix Series

Netflix has released a full trailer for the upcoming horror series The Midnight Club, which comes from producer Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass). I love the stories that Flanagan tells, and looks like it’ll be a great and spooky show for horror fans to enjoy.

The project is based on the novels by Christopher Pike, and the story centers on a group of terminally ill teenagers. The story is set at Rotterdam Home, a hospice for these teenagers. Eight patients come together every night at midnight to tell each other stories – and make a pact that the next of them to die will give the group a sign from the beyond.

Flanagan adapted the series alongside Leah Fong (Once Upon a Time), and Flanagan directed some of the episodes. Other directors include Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour (Black Box), Axelle Carolyn (Bly Manor, Creepshow), Viet Nguyen (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Morgan Beggs (Once Upon a Time), and Michael Fimognari (To All the Boys: Always and Forever)

When previously talking about the series and Pike’s work, Flanagan said: “One of the big things we assumed was that the younger viewers could handle scares. He wrote some pretty advanced stuff for his younger readers, and it was not at all uncommon for his teenage characters to die, pretty shockingly. His books were full of things I found really exciting and thrilling and dark. So I became a bit of an addict.”

The series stars Adia, Igby Rigney, Ruth Codd, William Chris Sumpter, Aya Furukawa, Annarah Shephard, and Sauriyan Sapkota. They are joined by Zach Gilford, Samantha Sloyan, and Matt Biedel, along with A Nightmare on Elm Street's Heather Langenkamp, who will play the enigmatic doctor who runs the teens' hospice.

The Midnight Club will premiere on Netflix on October 7th, 2022. Watch the trailer and tell us what you think!
