Woody Harrelson and Justin Theroux Set to Star in HBO Watergate Limited Series THE WHITE HOUSE PLUMBERS

Woody Harrelson (Cheers, Zombieland, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) and Justin Theroux (The Leftovers, Maniac) have signed on to star in the HBO limited series about Watergate, The White House Plumbers. The series was written and executive produced by Veep writers and VPs Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck, with Veep alum David Mandel directing and executive producing as well.

Deadline provides this synopsis:

The White House Plumbers is based part on public records and the book Integrity by Egil “Bud” Krogh and Matthew Krogh. The series tells the true story of how Nixon’s own political saboteurs and Watergate masterminds, E. Howard Hunt, played by Harrelson, and G. Gordon Liddy, played by Theroux, accidentally toppled the Presidency they were zealously trying to protect.

I love a deep dive into historical happenings that we hadn’t been able to get the full story on before. I really enjoy Harrelson and Theroux and think they’ll do a great job of bringing this story to HBO. Are you interested in checking it out?
