Woody Harrelson Describes His Character in The STAR WARS HAN SOLO Spin-off

We still don't have an official title, and we're about a year away from the release of the Han Solo spin-off film, but now we're learning a little more about Woody Harrelson's character.

Possible spoilers ahead, so stop reading if you don't want to know.

Just about all we know is that Harrelson will be playing Garris Shrike, a complicated mentor that will be guiding a young Han Solo in the film. But now, Harrelson is leaking a little more information. In a recent interview with London's Evening Standard, he teased that his character will be on the "light side of the Force":

“I am totally psyched to be making a Star Wars film. But the secrecy is on another level. What I can say he’s a good character, he is a mentor to Han and a criminal, but good at heart.”

I don't think this really comes as much surprise to most of us, but it does give us more insight into his character's role and who's side he's on. Don't forget a few months ago Harrelson also said that this movie is going to be "the best" Star Wars film yet. I'm not convinced of that, those are BIG storm trooper boots to fill. But nonetheless, Harrelson's enthusiasm does give me hope that the movie will be a great addition to the Star Wars mythology.

One thing that is certain, the film has a great cast that includes Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Thandie Newton, and Michael K. Williams. It's set to be released on May 25th, 2018
