Woody Harrelson Replaces Jason Statham in Kevin Hart's Action Comedy THE MAN FROM TORONTO

There’s been an interesting cast update for Kevin Hart’s upcoming action-comedy project The Man From Toronto. Jason Statham was supposed to star alongside Hart in the film but he dropped out last week. Deadline is now reporting that Woody Harrelson has joined the film and will be taking on the role previously filled by Statham.

The story for the film “uses a case of a mistaken identity as its jumping off point after the world’s deadliest assassin, known as the Man from Toronto, and a New York City screw-up run into each other at an Airbnb. A clash of personalities, and a clash with deadly killers, ensues.”

I was looking forward to seeing Statham and Hart play off of each other in this movie, but Harrelson is a solid replacement. He may not have the same kind of fighting and action skills as Statham, but Harrelson is always a fun actor to watch in the films he makes.

Patrick Hughes is directing the film, and it will start shooting in five weeks. The studio hopes to release it on November 20th.
