Would You Watch Every Episode of THE SIMPSONS for $6800?
PlatinCasino.co.uk is looking to hire a "Simpsons Series Analyst" to watch every single episode of The Simpsons and are willing to pay you $6,800 to do it. While this sounds like a dream to just sit and watch over 700 episodes of our favorite Springfield family, the online games site would like you to analyze the show to predict major events that could happen in 2022. Philip Wicinski, U.K. Country Manager at PlatinCasino.co.uk, said:
"It's a well-known phenomenon that The Simpsons have predicted the news, from Donald Trump as president, to the most recent panic buying of fuel in the UK. After a hard couple of years, we at PlatinCasino.co.uk are intrigued to see what 2022 will hold.
So ahead of the new year, we thought what better way than putting The Simpsons to the test and seeing if, after searching each series, we can predict what the next year, and future, has in store for us.
We think the job is a unique and dream role for many—who wouldn't love getting paid to watch TV, let alone The Simpsons? If you wouldn't mind spending the next few weeks watching the most loved cartoon family on TV while getting paid for it, please apply now!"
You would be expected to watch 35.5 hours a week for 8 weeks and also get ready to watch The Simpsons Movie from 2007. You’ll get a box of Lard Lad doughnuts each week as well as your Wi Fi and Disney+ bills covered, though you will need to provide your own TV or computer to watch on. You need to be over 18 and fluent in English to qualify and applications will be accepted here until October 31.
I know people love saying that The Simpsons predicts many future events, and in some cases they may have a point, but I think this is going a bit far. I think the writers are very good at reading current events in order to write comedy that is funny because it could happen. Does that qualify as predicting a thing will happen? It’s a mixed answer, but in the end I think The Simpsons does better at making jokes about the possibility of something happening rather than predicting that thing will actually happen. What do you think, does this sound like a dream come true for one lucky fan? Or would you be driven mad after watching that many episodes of The Simpsons in that short amount of time?
