WWE Stars Will Face GLOW Stars in a Rap Battle?
Confession time. I have never watched any professional wrestling. I’ve never been interested. However, I still loved Netflix’s series GLOW and am anxiously awaiting season 2. If you’re a fan of wrestling and/or GLOW you may be interested in hearing that some of the stars from WWE will face off against some of the stars from GLOW. It will be a 4-on-4 battle to the death and I’m intrigued. Here’s the little detail that threw me for a loop though. This will not be a wrestling match. It will be a rap battle on season 2 of TBS’ Drop the Mic. I did not see that one coming. Team WWE will be represented by Alicia Fox, Carmella, and Nikki and Brie Bella. Team GLOW will have Kate Nash (Britannica), Jackie Tohn (Melrose), Sunita Mani (Beirut the Mad Bomber), and Britney Young (Machu Picchu). I was surprised when I didn’t see Alison Brie or Betty Gilpin on the GLOW roster since they’re the two leaders in the series. I do wonder though if both teams will show up in costume or not. I think that could add to the fun.

I have found a video on each side that is the closest thing to a rap that I can find. On an episode of Total Divas, Carmella tries rapping for her boyfriend and it is bad. She even admits it, as does her boyfriend. For GLOW, Nash has the song “Rap for Rejection” which is like a garage punk rap. I’ll let you be the judge of which team you think will win the battle. Sadly, there is no release date for the second season of Drop the Mic so we’re not sure when this battle will occur, but you can be sure we’ll be keeping an eye out.
