WWE Studios Reportedly Offered Bradley Cooper The Vince McMahon Role in Biopic
WWE Studios and TriStar Pictures are teaming up to make a feature film biopic based on the life of wrestling promoter Vince McMahon who is also the majority owner, chairman, and CEO of WWE. The movie will be called Pandemonium.
According to PWInsider, the studio is looking to put the film project onto the fast-track of development and they want to cast Bradley Cooper in the role of McMahon. The information is said to come from a well-placed source familiar with the project. They say that the studio has already offered Cooper the role, but there's no word on if the actor is open to doing it or not.
If he doesn't take it, we know that the team behind the film is looking for an A-list star to take on the role of McMahon. Cooper is a great actor, so if he does take the role, I have no doubt that he'll give a fantastic performance. It's also not hard to imagine him in the role of McMahon.
According to the report, after the WWE Studios became involved with the project, "the existing script would undergo heavy rewrites to remove some aspects of the film that the McMahon family would not be happy with." You know, because they don't want to tell the controversial parts of his life because that's not interesting! Those are the parts of the life that make the story really interesting!
The script for Pandemonium was written by Craig A. Williams, who previously worked on Disney's live-action adaptation of Underdog, which is still in development. Pandemonium will be directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, which is the team that directed that the pilot episode for This is Us.
What do you think about the possibility of Bradley Cooper playing Vince McMahon?
