Fans are on high alert watching Wyatt Russell play US Agent John Walker, aka the new Captain America, on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. The guy put on a good show in the second episode, showing up to assist Sam and Bucky, and showing us a little backstory on the character. We know he has a story arc that probably won’t stay so likable, but we also know that there is a lot more story to uncover.

This week, in an interview with Good Morning America, Russell spoke about the role, and he confirmed that his first-ever audition was actually to play Steve Rogers/Captain America in the 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger. What a full-circle moment for the actor getting the role ten years later that will more than likely launch him to greater places in his career.
