X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX Was the Biggest Box Office Bomb of 2019 with a Loss of $133 Million
In case you were wondering what the biggest box office bomb of 2019 was, Deadline offered a report saying that director Simon Kinberg’s X-Men: Dark Phoenix holds that honor. The movie ended up having a loss of $133 million, which is pretty crazy! The movie did worse than Cats!
The other four other biggest box office bombs of 2019 include the following:
Director Tim Miller’s Terminator: Dark Fate lost $122.6 million.
Director Tom Hooper’s Cats lost $113.6 million
Director Ang Lee’s Gemini Man lost $111.1 million.
Laika’s Missing Link lost $101.3
Those are some big losses. There are various reasons for why each of these films took the hit that they did. Everything from behind-the-scenes drama to poor filmmaking to being overly ambitious to lack of audience interest to film franchises burning audiences with previous films.
Are there any films on this list that you actually enjoyed, that you’re surprised didn’t do better?
