X-Men Fan Film GREY CAFÉ Puts The Focus on Jean Grey Choking Out People with Her Powers
The creative team behind the previously released Wolverine X-Men fan film Close Shave, are back with a new one titled Grey Café. The film is described as an abstract fan film about fan-favorite Jean Grey.
The X-Men-inspired short stars Scout Taylor-Compton (Halloween, The Runaways) as Jean Grey and we see her use her powers to choke out a number of people. It’s like she’s using Darth Vader’s force choke powers. It’s an intense film that also offers us a dark look inside the tortured mind of Grey.
Grey Café was also produced by Adi Shankar (Dredd, Castlevania). I’ve enjoyed these two X-Men fan films that have been made so far, and if you’ve enjoyed them as well, you’ll be happy to learn that there are more coming!
It’s explained that they will be set in different timelines, but that they’ll all take place in the same universe. “All the shorts will focus on prejudice and identity – while juxtaposing the extraordinary mutants in everyday locations like barbershops and cafes.”
I’ll be looking forward to watching these future X-Men shorts that director Mahmut Akay and his team create and produce.
