Xbox Cloud Gaming Limited Beta Now Live for Windows 10 PCs and Apple Mobile Devices
Today, Microsoft has unleashed Xbox Cloud Gaming in a limited beta for Windows 10 PCs and Apple mobile devices. Windows users will need to use Google Chrome or Edge while Apple users will need Safari. The beta is invite-only at the time for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members. Invitations have already started rolling out and will continue to roll out over time across 22 countries. If you’re lucky enough to participate, let us know how it goes and be sure to provide good feedback so that Microsoft can fine-tune it.
If you’re lucky enough to be participating, you’ll get to play over 100 Xbox Game Pass titles through your browser meaning more high quality gaming without the need for costly machines. It is important to note that if you are a chosen one, you will need a Bluetooth or USB controller if you don’t want to use custom touch controls on 50+ games. During the first wave of the beta, the focus is on fine-tuning the features of Xbox Cloud Gaming and creating a consistent experience while games run at their best.
I know I’m very excited for this. I think cloud gaming is where the industry is headed and it’s cool to watch this evolve.
