Xbox Expands Family Settings App Features for Parents to Have More Control

Earlier this fall, Xbox launched the Xbox Family Settings app so that parents and caregivers can have some control over screen time. Well, two new features are launching for child accounts. First, parents can now pause screen time for their children via the app. This is regardless of whether or not the child has spare time allotted to them.

The second new feature is Ask to Buy. Parents are now able to use the mobile app to help manage what their children buy. If a child wants to buy something, a notification will go off on the parent’s device and they can look over it and either approve or decline the purchase.

I think these features are great additions to make life a little easier for parents with gaming children. You can download the Xbox Family Settings app now for free for Android and iOS.
