YA Novel POISONED Is Getting the Silver Screen Treatement
The young adult novelist Jennifer Donnelly has recently had another one of her books picked up to become a movie. The latest pick is her latest title Poisoned, which is a reimagining of the classic tale of Snow White.
Aided by seven mysterious strangers, Sophie’s journey of survival in the forest while facing a terrifying enemy will forever change the perceptions of strength, power, and the real meaning of “happily ever after.”
Poisoned was released earlier this month by Scholastic Press, and fans are really enjoying it. Endeavor Content optioned the film adaptation and the same team from Donnelly’s upcoming film adaptation for Stepsister will be working on Poisoned. Currently, the only names we know on the project are producers Howell Taylor and Samantha Housman from 51 Entertainment, Bruna Papandrea and Steve Hutensky from Made Up Stories, Jeanne Snow, and Janice Park.
Have you read the book yet? Who would you like to see cast in the adaptation?
