YARS: RECHARGED Gets Launch Date And New Teaser Trailer

Atari has announced that Yars: Recharged will be launching on August 23, 2022 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Atari VCS, Stadia, and PC via Steam and the Epic Store. This is the latest entry in the Atari Recharged series and puts you on the front lines of a daring attack on an enemy home world.

Guarded by mechanical hives, you’ll have to master smooth flying controls as you look for pockets of safety among the hail of fire. Chip away at the enemy’s defenses by destroying enemy shields and powering up the destructive Zorlon cannon. Y

ou’ll have to be aware of visual and audio cues that will hint at impending danger as the levels become increasingly complex. Composer Megan McDuffee created the beat heavy original soundtrack. I’ve loved Mcduffee’s work on River City Girls so if nothing else, this soundtrack should be worth checking out. There’s a new teaser trailer for you to check out, though it didn’t hype me up much for the game.

I think it looks great, and it looks like it plays really well, they just happened to pick a kind of boring looking moment of gameplay to show off, though that Zorlon cannon looks super fun to use. But I can definitely see the potential in this game, so I think it will be worth picking up when it releases.
