YELLOWSTONE Actor Says Series Will Have the "Best Finale in History"
According to Yellowstone series actor Ian Bohen, the end of the show will deliver the “best finale in history.” That’s a huge claim, especially with all of the behind the scenes drama surrounding the series.
Yellowstone was originally supposed to run for seven seasons but that was cut short due to issues between Kevin Costner and the production team. The series will now end with the second half of Season 5, which may not see the return of Costner in the role of John Dutton.
I don’t see how the series will be the best finale in history without any kind of real closure on Costner’s character who has been the rock of the series up until this point. But, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
Bohen said in an interview with ET: "The fans are going to get the [best] conclusion that could possibly be written. Everything will land in a way that is perfectly set. A lot of shows just kind of finish... and they don't satisfy you.”
“This will be completed in a way that it will make sense.” He added, “I don't know that any show has finished this strongly ever. We're expecting to have the best series finale in history. Overconfident maybe, but I think that's what it's going to be. We thank everyone for their patience... It'll be worth the wait, I promise."
Series star Kelly Reilly previously talked about the work that has gone into developing this finale season saying: "Gosh, I'm really looking forward to them [the fans] having them [the last episodes].”
She added, “We can only shoot this show in the summer because when winter comes in Montana from November through til May, it's snowing – and shooting this show in the snow with horses, it's just not possible.”
Reilly continued: “So we have one window and last year we lost it because of the actors' strike. So I'm looking forward to them having the show back. I look forward to giving them their show back and look forward to ending it."
There’s no word on when when we will see the second half of Season 5 air, but I’ve enjoyed this show and I’m curious to see how the creative team brings it to an end.
