YELLOWSTONE Co-Creator Taylor Sheridan is Developing an Interesting New Series Titled MAYOR OF KINGSTOWN
If you’re a fan of Kevin Costner’s western series Yellowstone, you’ll be happy to hear that co-creator Taylor Sheridan is developing a new drama series titled Mayor of Kingstown. They have also renewed his unscripted series The Last Cowboy for a second season.
The Paramount Network has picked up the series for a full first season and it sounds like a fascinating show that is definitely something that I’d be interested in watching.
The show is set in a small Michigan town “where the only industry remaining are federal, state, and private prisons, the story follows the McClusky family, the power brokers between the police, criminals, inmates, prison guards and politicians, in a city completely dependent on prisons and the prisoners they contain. It is a stark and brutal look at the business of incarceration.”
Taylor Sheridan is a hell of a talented storyteller and filmmaker and I know he’s going to deliver another incredible show, so I’m 100% in! I can’t wait to watch it!
Also, if you’re not familiar with The Last Cowboy, the show chronicles “the lives of men and women who compete on the regular reining circuit, a western-based competition where riders guide horses through a precise pattern of circles, spins and stops. These horsemen are determined to elevate and preserve the cowboy tradition as they train and engage in the exclusive ultra-competitive sport.” Season 2 will consist of six-episodes.
