YELLOWSTONE Reportedly Getting a Season 6 That Will Focus on Beth and Rip
A new report has surfaced that says Yellowstone will continue with a sixth season and that it will shift the focus to Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser). No, Kevin Costner will not be involved if this turns out to be true.
This rumor has gained traction after Hauser and Reilly both seemed to tease in interviews that their characters could very well end up carrying the series forward.
Hauser previously told Country Living: "I'm so focused on finishing Yellowstone the way it needs to be finished right now — well, just the show itself. We'll see where that leads.
“But I know that there's some stuff on the horizon when it comes to Taylor's ideas for Kelly Reilly and myself, and some of the other cast.
“I'm excited to see where he goes creatively with that. But right now it's just: Let's finish strong; let's do the best we can."
Nothing has been confirmed, but it certainly sounds like the story of Beth and Rip continuing is at least being considered by creator Taylor Sheridan, and it sounds like he’s got some plans that he may eventually move forward with.
As Sheridan is working on closing out Yellowstone Season 5, he is also developing the spinoff series The Madison with Michelle Pfeiffer, Matthew Fox, Patrick J. Adams (Suits), and more.
The series is said to “follow wealthy matriarch Stacy Clyburn and her family as they leave New York City and head to Montana in the wake of her husband and brother-in-law’s tragic deaths in a plane crash.”
The Madison is a heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.
I’m curious to know if these shows will connect with each other or if they will be two completely separate stories set in Montana.
