YOUNG JUSTICE Fans Rejoice, Here's an Update on The Upcoming Third Season!
As I have written a lot about Teen Titans and Titans, I see many fans clamor for news on the return of Young Justice. I have some for you! Over the weekend, at C2E2, Khary Payton (the voice of Aqualad in Young Justice) revealed that the voice work for Young Justice: Outsiders (the third season/revival of Young Justice) is done! During a panel, Payton told fans:
“We’re just waiting for the animation to come back. I’ve already seen some of it. It looks great.
[The new season will be] full of so many characters, I can’t wait for you guys to see it. You’re going to love it.”
That’s pretty exciting. While no release date has been given, we know that it will return later this year on DC’s streaming platform. My guess is that it will premiere alongside Titans as the first show is available. The season will have 26 episodes, and in addition to Payton, fans will notice the return of Nolan North as Superboy and Superman, Alyson Stoner as Batgirl, and Marina Sirtis as Queen Bee.
Young Justice’s second season ended back in 2013 and Outsiders is said to take place several years later with the team, “deal with metahuman trafficking and a “genetic arms race” said to span the entire galaxy.”
