YOUNG JUSTICE Officially Renewed For Season 3!

I've got some amazing news for all you Young Justice fans out there! The classic animated series has officially been renewed for a third season! The news comes directly from Warner Bros. Animation and they released the teaser image above!

Fans have been hoping for this to happen ever since the series was canceled by Cartoon Network. There's been a lot of talk and speculation about the possibility of a third season and it looks like the fans' love for the series and writer and producer Greg Weisman's support helped bring it back.

Weisman will be back to shepherd the third season along with Brandon Vietti. The series isn't officially set at any network yet, but there were rumors that it could end up at Netflix, which currently streams the first two seasons of the show. According to Deadline, Netflix is considered a suitable home as it has successfully revived several cult series already, "though sources note that the animated show is in the marketplace and no decision has been made on a network partner yet."

Young Justice was one of the last truly great animated series that has been developed in the past ten years. Not only were the animation and visuals solid, but the storytelling was pretty incredible. I couldn't be more excited that a third season is coming!

Sam Register, the president of Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Digital Series, had this to say in a statement:

“The affection that fans have had for Young Justice, and their rallying cry for more episodes, has always resonated with us. We are excited to bring the show back for this loyal fanbase and to provide an opportunity for new viewers to discover this excellent series.”

Just in case you're not familiar, here's a synopsis for the series:

In Young Justice, the teenage Super Heroes of the DC Universe come of age in a world of super powers, Super-Villains and super secrets. Used strategically as the secret covert weapon of the Justice League, Nightwing, Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and a host of others strive to prove to their legendary mentors, as well as to themselves, that they have what it takes to be heroes. In the series, Dick Grayson played Robin/Nightwin, Wally West was Kid Flash, Conner Kent played Superboy, Megan Morse was Miss Martian and Roy Harper played Red Arrow/Arsenal.

The prayers of the fans have been answered! Are you happy to hear that Young Justice Season 3 is moving forward!?
