Dwayne Johnson's YOUNG ROCK Series Renewed for a Third Season at NBC

The Dwayne Johnson series Young Rock has been renewed for a third season at NBC. The series focuses on different chapters of Johnson’s life. “From growing up in a strong and resilient family to being surrounded by the wild characters of his professional wrestling family to playing football at the University of Miami, the show explores the crazy rollercoaster that has shaped Dwayne into the man he is today and the larger-than-life characters he’s met along the way.”

The series was created by Nahnatchka Khan and Jeff Chiang, and Johnson stars in the series inspired by his life alongside Joseph Lee Anderson, Stacey Leilua, Ana Tuisila, Adrian Groulx, Bradley Constant, Uli Latukefu, Fasitua Amosa, John Tui and Matthew Willig.

NBC announced they also renewed Grand Crew and American Auto for second season. However, Mr. Mayor and Kenan were canceled.

The network picked up George Lopez’s most recent comedy, Lopez Vs. Lopez, while its comedy pilot Hungry, which is exec produced by Demi Lovato and stars Modern Family’s Ariel Winter, is not moving forward.
