YouTube personality Jojo Siwa is set to star in Paramount Pictures’ film adaptation of the book Bounce. Will Smith is set to produce the movie and the script is being written by Josann McGibbon.

Bounce was written by Megan Shull and it tells the heartwarming story of “a teenage girl who wishes she could trade her family for a new one on Christmas Eve. Her wish is granted and she finds herself ‘bouncing’ into the lives of other girls and living Christmas Day on repeat — learning the value of family, finding your voice and the power of love.”

I’m not familiar with Siwa, but my kids are. They know all about her YouTube Channel which has 11.4 million subscribers. Siwa’s big break came with her debut single, “Boomerang.” She also is credited in the animated film The Angry Birds Movie 2.

The studio has yet to find a director for the project, and while I’m not familiar with the young actress or this story, the film is sure to be a hit with younger audiences.
