YouTube Red Teaming Up With Robert Downey Jr. For Series About Artificial Intelligence
Robert Downey Jr. may just play a billionaire playboy genius in films, but that doesn't mean we don't all pretend that's exactly how he is in real life as well. For that reason, RDJ is teaming up with YouTube Red for a docuseries centered on the fast-growing world of artificial intelligence. Deadline reports the series will feature the leading minds in several different fields of study sharing their perspective on AI, as well as the technology's potential impact on our future.
Downey Jr. will host and narrate the Untitled A.I. Series, which will feature researchers and leading experts in science, philosophy, technology, engineering, medicine, futurism, entertainment and the arts sharing their perspectives on A.I.
Susanne Daniels, Global Head of Original Content, YouTube had this to say in a statement:
“We are excited to be in business with the smart creative minds behind this innovative new series. There is so much to discover, and this series will take us on a fascinating journey as we explore the exciting developments in the world of A.I. and glimpse into the future.”
Susan Downey added:
“Robert and I share a curiosity for A.I., a complicated and often polarizing subject. Our aim is to explore A.I. through a lens of objectivity and accessibility, in a thoroughly bold, splashy, and entertaining way. We’re thrilled to bring this project to life along with Network Entertainment, Sonar, and YouTube Red.”
The series is set for 2019, and between that and Cobra Kai, I'm feeling very tempted to get a YouTube Red subscription. Anyone else here feeling the same?
