YouTube's COBRA KAI Set to Make Its Comic Debut This Fall
YouTube Premium’s breakout hit series Cobra Kai has been renewed for its third season (yay!), but we have a while to wait until we get to see it. So in the meantime, fans can read the comic that is coming out that is based on the series!
IDW is bringing us the comic called Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues, which will start with a four part comic retelling the events of the original 1984 movie, but this time from the point of view of Johnny Lawrence, originally the villain of the movie, but now looked upon like the unlikely misunderstood protagonist of the TV series. And total fox, to some…
Anyhow, IDW editor Denton J. Tipton is writing the story with art by Infinite Kung-Fu’s Kagan McLeod. The comic will hopefully move right along with the series, which is so brilliant. It is honestly in my top favorite series on right now, and even ever. Ralph Macchio and William Zabka (swoon) are so fantastic reprising their roles of Daniel and Johnny, and the new young cast is great as well. My only complaint is that the episodes and seasons aren’t longer.
I am not even a big comic reader, but I will absolutely be picking up this comic series. Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues hits shelves this fall. Will you be grabbing a copy?
