YU-GI-OH! LEGENDARY DUELISTS SEASON 1 Is Finally Here
Konami recently released Legendary Duelists Season 1 for Yu-Gi-Oh! fans. This set includes a bunch of reprints from the first two Legendary Duelists packs, introduces colored print Ultra Rares which are really cool, and even includes some preview cards from Rise of the Duelist coming later this year. I do want to note that none of the cards are seen as particularly valuable, with the highest cost being about $10 last I checked.
In addition, Konami really dropped the ball on this one for omitting one specific card: Toon Kingdom. Toon Chaos brought about a ton of Toon monsters and support, reprints and new alike, but with Toon Kingdom nowhere to be seen. Many fans including myself thought that this meant Toon Kingdom was getting a reprint in Legendary Duelists Season 1. It did not. What the heck Konami!? Fans need this card for Toon decks and it’s currently sitting around $60 per copy. This needed a reprint!
Konami did something great though and changed the name of Red Eyes B. Dragon to Red Eyes Black Dragon. I know it’s a small thing, but I love it. Can we finally get Lord of D. renamed as Lord of Dragons and the inaccurately named Beaver Warrior be restored to its original name, Louise? One can hope.
Konami was kind enough to send me a box, so I’ve included my unboxing video below for you to enjoy. What are your thoughts on Legendary Duelists Season 1?
