YU-GI-OH's DUELING HEROES Tin is Fun But Bloated
Konami recently released the 25th Anniversary Tin: Dueling Heroes for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. Inside, duelists will find one of a possible 16 promotional cards in the Quarter Century Secret Rare foiling and three 18-card Mega Packs. The promotional cards (the best part in my opinion) are the ones pictured on the tin itself and include:
Dark Magician
Exodia the Forbidden One
Red-Eyes Black Dragon
Rainbow Dragon
Cyber Dragon
Elemental HERO Neos
Stardust Dragon
Blackwing Armor Master
Black Rose Dragon
Number 39: Utopia
Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon
Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon
Enlightenment Paladin
Decode Talker
Firewall Dragon
Salamangreat Blaze Dragon
Meanwhile, each of the Mega Packs includes 12 Commons, 1 Rare, 1 Super Rare, 2 Ultra Rares, and 2 Prismatic Secret Rares. The card pool includes 283 cards in total spanning Battle of Chaos, Dimension Force, and more packs from the last year. It even includes three World Premiere cards in Ultra Rare: Camelot, Realm of Noble Knights and Noble Arms; Time Thief Power Reserve; and SPYRAL Double Agent. Unfortunately, Konami seems to have killed a lot of hype for the Dueling Heroes tin with the 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection featuring more staples like Pot of Prosperity and Triple Tactics Talent than the tin and releasing this November.
That doesn’t mean there aren’t some good cards to look for. There are plenty of Runick and Labrynth cards as well as fan favorites like Timaeus the United Dragon and Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon. Unfortunately, because of the size of the set, it really makes it hard to take the gamble. Konami was kind enough to send me a tin to open up and you can check out my pulls below. Let me know in the comments what you pulled and what cards you think are the best in the set.
