Yvette Nicole Brown Confirms She Is Returning for COMMUNITY: THE MOVIE
The spinoff film Community: The Movie has been in the works for a very long time. It is slowly moving forward, steadily heading toward production, and we have another casting confirmation from a returning star to help keep us pointed in the right direction.
Yvette Nicole Brown, who played Shirley Bennett in the six-season Community run has always been assumed to return, but the actress hasn’t spoken out about the project until now.
In a recent interview with Parade, Brown shared, "We don't know when, but I'm on board. And that might be a scoop because for the longest time, it wasn't confirmed."
While Brown’s co-star Donald Glover left Community for good during the show's fifth season, Brown herself did not return as a series regular for Season 6 but did appear in the season's premiere and finale. It will be great to see the whole gang (besides Chevy Chase, who left on bad terms with his co-stars) reunite for the movie.
Returning cast members include Joel McHale, Donald Glover, Alison Brie, Danny Pudi, Gillian Jacobs, Jim Rash, Ken Jeong, and Yvette Nicole Brown.
