Zac Efron To Star in Disney's Remake of THREE MEN AND A BABY

Disney is remaking its 1987 comedy classic Three Men and a Baby and Zac Efron is set to star in the film. The movie is being produced by Gordon Gray, best known for his inspirational sports dramas such as The Rookie and Ben Affleck-starring The Way Back, and it is being produced for Disney+.

Leonard Nimoy directed the original film, which starred Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg and Ted Danson. They played three New York bachelors who find themselves caring, and subsequently, falling for, an infant child. There were also drug dealers included in the plot who threatened the child. The film was followed by a sequel in 1990 titled Three Men and a Little Lady. I enjoyed those films!

The script for the remake was written by Will Reichel and at this point, we have no idea how the story will be updated. I’m sure that there will be some similarities, but it will obviously be updated for a new generation of audiences. Disney is currently on the hunt for a director.

Efron can pretty much thank Disney for the career that he has as his big breakout role was in Disney’s High School Musical. He’s since had a very successful career and he’s become quite a talented actor gaining the respect of audiences and critics.

He most recently earned rave reviews for starring in the indie film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, in which he portrayed serial killer Ted Bundy. He can currently be seen in the Netflix documentary series Down to Earth. I’m sure that this Three Men and Baby reboot will be a fun project for him.
