Zachary Levi Shares Poster Art For SHAZAM! FURY OF THE GODS
Shazam! star Zachary Levi has shared the poster art for Shazam! Fury of the Gods that was revealed during the DC FanDome event. This offers fans a much better look at the poster. The poster came with the following note from the actor:
“This poster may be unofficial, but it officially warms my heart and gets me mad excited to bring more @shazammovie to y’all as soon as humanly (or superhumanly) possible! Thanks to everyone who came out for @dccomics #fandome, including @sinbadbad for being such a team player and going along with the zany fun.”
One of the things I love about this poster most is that it features Sinbad. Now, Sinbad is not in the film but a lot of fans have fond memories of the Shazam movie that Sinbad starred in as a genie in the 90s… that movie that doesn’t really exist.
The inclusion of Sinbad during the DC FanDome presentation as a meta-joke about the confusion over his role in the non-existent movie was funny.
There are no details regarding the sequel, but Asher Angel (Billy Batson), Jack Dylan Grazer (Freddy Freeman), Adam Brody (Super Hero Freddy), Meagan Good (Super Hero Darla), and Faithe Herman (Darla Dudley) are all coming back to reprise their roles.
I love the first Shazam! movie and I’m excited to see the story that the upcoming sequel will tell. The film is currently scheduled to be released on November 4, 2022.
