Zachary Quinto and Ashleigh Cummings Join AMC's Supernatural Horror Series NOS4A2
Zachary Quinto and Ashleigh Cummings are set to star in AMC’s upcoming new supernatural horror series NOS4A2, which is an adaptation of the novel by Joe Hill, the son of Stephen King. If you’re not familiar with the story, here’s a synopsis:
NOS4A2 introduces Vic McQueen, a young, working class artist who discovers she has a supernatural ability to track the seemingly immortal Charlie Manx. Manx feeds off the souls of children, then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland – a twisted Christmas Village of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas day and unhappiness is against the law. Vic must strive to defeat Manx and rescue his victims – without losing her mind or falling victim to him herself.
Quinto will take on the role of Charlie Manx in the series, the eater of children’s souls. Cummings will play Vic McQueen, who will be hunting down Charlie. “What Vic lacks in social confidence, she makes up for in courage, humor, and tough-as-nails grit. She strives to defeat Manx and rescue his victims without losing her mind or falling victim to him herself.”
This is great casting and a great project for both of these actors to be a part of. It was also announced that Kari Skogland will direct the first two episodes of the series. Production began this week in Rhode Island.
The 10 one-hour episodes are slated to premiere in 2019.
