Zack Snyder Confirmed That The Atom Was Cut From JUSTICE LEAGUE

It looks like Zack Snyder was laying the groundwork for another DC superhero in Justice League. According to CinemaBlend, Snyder was going to introduce the character Ryan Choi in the film. Choi is The Atom.

There was one scene where Choi’s name appeared on a computer monitor in Justice League, it was also pointed out that there was a promotional image released that showed Silas Stone, the father of Cyborg, standing next to an unnamed scientist. Synder confirmed on Vero that the scientist in the image was Choi, who was played by Orion Lee (Star Wars: The Last Jed).

This scene was ultimately one of many cut during the post-production/reshoots phase once Joss Whedon came aboard to finish the movie. It’s still unclear whether or not Ryan would have actually been referred to by name. But Snyder did intend for him to exist in the DC cinematic universe.

After seeing how bad Justice League ended up turning out after Joss Whedon took over, I think I would much rather have seen Zack Snyder’s version. Even though I didn’t care for Batman v Superman, they should have just let him complete his vision. It couldn’t have turned out any worse than what we got.
