When it was announced that Jared Leto would be reprising his role as The Joker in Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut, fans have been speculating that his return would involve a flashback of him murdering Robin.

As you know, this plot point was first teased in In Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, when we got a glimpse of Robin’s suit on display in the Batcave, with graffiti on the suit by the Joker.

A fan recently shared a theory of how Joker will be utilized in the story and Snyder hinted at the possibility that this is how things might play out by liking the post.

The fan theory was posted to Twitter, then re-posted to Vero, with the comment: “If Zack and David stick with the story of having Joker brutally beat Robin to death then set his body on fire then there’s no doubt in my mind that it happened in Wayne Manor and the fire is what left the house looking like that.”

A second tweet added: “Another thing to think about with this if true is that Joker probably knows Batman’s true identity but chooses to keep it a secret as he doesn’t want his twisted back and forth relationship with Batsy to end.”

Snyder liked the re-posted Tweets that were shared on Vero, which included the caption: “Would be interesting to see this.”

While this is not an official confirmation, it’s still a cool and interesting tease that I think a lot of fans would love to see in the upcoming Justice League: Director’s Cut.
