Zack Snyder Likens His JUSTICE LEAGUE Film to SEVEN SAMURAI
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice pretty much lays the foundation of the DC cinematic universe and its road to Justice League. After seeing what Zack Snyder has done with Man of Steel, and Batman v Superman I'm 100% convinced that these films aren't going to get any better. They will all look great, and the characters will all be cool. Unfortunately, Snyder doesn't know how to add any substance to that. As long as Snyder is leading the charge on these films, they will all be movies that never reach their full potential.
In a recent interview with Yahoo!, Snyder discussed his upcoming Justice League movie that he starts shooting in a couple of weeks. While talking about the film he likened it to Seven Samurai:
“I’m getting ready to start ‘Justice League’ on the 11th of April, so in like two weeks we start shooting, and it’s an intense, awesome, and gigantic undertaking because Bruce [Wayne] is having to go out and sort of ‘Seven Samurai’ the Justice League together, which is fun. It’s slightly monumental, and at the same time they’re starting to grapple with this coming threat.”
He throws out the names of movies like Seven Samurai to get people excited, but Snyder has no clue on how to make a movie as great as Seven Samurai. Regardless of that, it will end up being fun movie to watch Batman go out and gather all of these superheroes together to fight.
That coming threat is Darkseid, who is teased in Batman v Superman. Justice League Part One is set to be released on November 17th, 2017.
