Zack Snyder Reveals Image of John Stewart's Green Lantern Cut From JUSTICE LEAGUE
Zack Snyder was planning on featuring a version of John Stewart’s Green Lantern in Justice League. He shot the scene even though they knew Warner Bros. might not approve it. Snyder cast Wayne T. Carr in the role and WB ultimately had the seen cut out because they have plans to use the character in the future.
It’s kind of silly that they cut it because the studio has made it clear that Zack Snyder’s Justice League doesn’t really count with everything else they are doing with the DC Universe, so what would it hurt to include John Stewart’s Green Lantern? It wouldn’t hurt anything. That’s just WB being WB.
Well, Snyder that now shared an image of Wayne T. Carr as Green Lantern in the film. It’s just a photo of him sharing it on his phone, but it’s something that fan might be interested in checking out.
Carr talked about the scene while appearing on the LightCast podcast saying, "[Zack] said, 'We're going to shoot it, we'll see what the studio says. He called me after he showed it to everyone, I think it was the second time because they had watched it in parts. He was like, 'They're not letting me do this thing... When I saw the full vision, I went through the journey like everybody went through the journey. Towards the end I realized, 'Ugh. I'm not a part of this. Darn.'"
