For DC fans who have been hoping that Zack Snyder’s Justice League would open back the door for Snyder to continue to build on his vision of the DCEU, specifically Justice League 2, unfortunately, the filmmaker doesn’t think it’s going to happen. He says that the studio has “no interest” in it.

During a recent interview with I Minutemen, Snyder was asked about the possibility of making a Justice League 2, and this was his response:

"The reality is, as far as I know, there's no interest and/or appetite to do more of these movies from Warner Bros. With me, anyway. But I didn't think making this, finishing this film correctly would ever happen. But I did do my best to — as far as the creation of the Justice League, those different personalities being brought together — that idea, that's what this movie is about."

Snyder went on to say that Justice League does tease a larger universe:

"There is a suggestion of course in the film, as there would be within any of these movies, of a larger universe that's still out there."

Kevin Smith also recently shared his thoughts regarding the ending of the new Justice League cut and says that the story can keep going:

"I happen to know that the ending that he's got for the Snyder Cut is very not a cul-de-sac. It takes it to a weird neighborhood, but it's not a cul-de-sac. You can keep fucking going with the story based on what I've heard from a friend."

So, who knows! Maybe one day Snyder will be given the opportunity to explore the larger universe. As we’ve seen time and time again, anything can happen with these comic book films. Do you think Snyder will ever work with Warner Bros. again on a new DC film?
