Zack Snyder Shares His Favorite Photo of Ben Affleck as Batman Behind the Scenes

Filmmaker Zack Snyder has joined Instagram, and he has been sharing some behind-the-scenes photos from not only his upcoming passion project, The Last Photograph, but also from his whole body of work, including his time at DC.

Earlier this week, we shared a post from Snyder in which he gave us a never-before-seen look at Henry Cavill in black and white from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Now he has shared a photo of the film’s counterpart, Ben Affleck, in the role of Batman. The picture is not a still from the movie, but a shot that was set up just for a little shoot between the actor and director.

Snyder said of the photo, “One of my favorite Batman photos. I took it with my Leica Monochrom. We built that little set especially for these portraits.”

It’s a cool shot, and it’s fun to see some of the director’s favorite memories from his previous films.

Snyder’s next project, The Last Photograph, is currently in development. The official synopsis for the film reads:

“An ex-DEA operative must return to the mountains of South America in an effort to find his missing niece and nephew, following the brutal murders of their diplomat parents.

“Enlisting the help of a washed-up junkie war photographer, the only person to have seen the face of the killers, he sets out, determined to find the children and the truth, but soon learns he must also face the ghosts of his past.

“Their journey into the unknown takes them further and further away from civilization, bringing into question everything they believe, while slowly eroding the distinction between real and surreal.”

Stay tuned for updates on the project, and check out Snyder’s post below:
